| Efficient manufacturing with utmost precision |
| The double-band press vulcanises the
product under optimum conditions in a continuous operation and is thus superior to other processes. Maximum cost-effectiveness is reached when the unit turns out large production lots exploiting the full width of up to 2.4 meters. With processing rates of between 0.2 and 2.0 meters per minute, depending on the product specification,flow properties during vulcanisation are optimised to attain the closest tolerances and a uniform end-product quality. The pressure and temperature profile is controlled fully automatically by a stored program system (ISPS). Pressures of up to 30 bar guarantee good rubber adhesion and penetration between the tensile members. |

| Practically the whole range of popular
fabric-ply belts, except special-purpose belts, are
manufactured on two 'DOBA' double-band presses. This
modern production technique is the consistent realisation
of a technology of the future, providing a strong mix of
superb quality and maximum economy. Since 1987, more than
3 million meters of conveyor belting have been produced
on the first of these units, and have been doing an
excellent job in a variety of working conditions. It is
this positive experience that encouraged us to install our second double-band press in spring 1994. |

| Unrivalled surface finish |
| Our double-band press sets a whole new standard of
quality. This latest manufacturing technique gives all products the typical DOBA surface finish by eliminating curing seams, and, at the same time, minimising void spots and other imperfections. |
| DOBA quality for maximum cost-effectiveness |
| Owing to the production process, conveyor belts built
on DOBA presses are perfectly straight and provide supreme in-service reliability which pre- serves the belt and the conveyor structure. Surface integrity reduces dirt build-up and makes belt cleaning operations simple. Low abrasion increases belt life and makes other elements of the conveyor system last longer. Maintenance and repairs are kept to a minimum. |
