The task:

Conveying 2,200 ton of ironore over a
distance of 20,300 meters.

The solution:

Over 40 km of STAHLCORD conveyor
belting -- ST 3000, 1050 mm wide --
were manufactured in 70 part-lengths,
each 590 m long, for this conveying
system. It has two flights with 10 km
center distance each and is the third
longest conventional belt conveyor
system m the world.
